Jack Butler: Come on over here Ron. Let me show you what I'm doing, taking advantage of some of the time off. To, uh, add a whole new wing on here. Gonna rip these walls out and, uh, of course re-wire it.
Ron Richardson: Yeah, you gonna make it all 220?
Jack Butler: Yeah, 220, 221. Whatever it takes.
Yes, you can learn the basics of electricity.
In a one hour session you will learn the basics of electricity. You will learn: what makes a circuit, Ohm's law, what are amps, ohms and volts and how do they relate to each other, basic symbols and what those pesky little electrons do. You will also learn what the difference between schematics and diagrams are and how to read very simple ones, tracing the complete circuit, from power source to control device to the load and back.
Training & Qualifications
I worked for 23 years in repairing HVAC systems for the US Air Force. My first trainer was an expert in reading diagrams and electrical systems and imparted that knowledge to me, and boy did it pay off. The number one problem with these types of systems is electrical, and understanding electricity and how to read schematics is essential to a successful career in this field.
