Parental support for homeschooling
10
I can help come up with ideas to overcome challenges, help think of resources that may be available to your family, help design a motivational system (I have another listing outlining this), help to organize a weekly plan by subject, or just listen if you need to vent.
If you have someone with special needs you want to help with teaching, I'm sure there's an idea or two I can help you come up with, or expand on. My oldest has significant cognitive and speech impairments and I assist him with every subject every day. He has actually done very well and made significant progress since this pandemic started.
Given my 24/7 solo parenting lifestyle, there may be background noise and the occasional disruption I'll need to attend, but that is part of this life! It's just important to put that out there.
Training & Qualifications
I'm a mother of 6, two who have special needs. Five of my kids are still home. I have 9 years of cumulative experience as a "parent educator" from home based learning with all of them at various points, all of them last year and the 5 here this year. They get along like friends, and sometimes tutors for one another.
Availability & Preferences
Most days I am available between 3-4pm, 6-8pm, and sometimes 10-11pm
